"The most fundamental requirement for a children's songwriter and performer should be their profound respect and love for our little ones. Along with that should be the sheer joy of expressing music. This is what children are touched by and remember in the deepest place of their hearts. I have vivid memories of growing up, of being a small person totally dependent on the world of adults. I can still recall my innate sense of intelligence, sentience, sensitivity, and a heart so widely open that even the slightest cruel word or intention from another caused damage. So my primary concern and motivation for what I do is to simply BE with children in a completely equal and joyful place through the sharing experience of music."
